The Pingalacchandahsutra proffers a more or less standard and rigid text. In a few manuscripts, however, the appendix to the text is not found. Different gana’s which appear in Pingala 4/16 and continues upto 8/25 is associated with
the vowel ‘a’ indubitably for the sake of pronunciation.
