A Tulugu opera composed by Sahaji Maharaja, the Maratha rular of Thanjavur (1684-1712). It is a magnificent composition soaked in metaphor and elegance, and it is set beautiful ragas.The story of the Prabandham is as follows. Parvathi, unable to bear her separation from Sankara, sends her sakhis to him with a message, requesting him to return. Sankara arrives in a pallaki (palanquin), which has been elaborately described in the book.
