The deliberation of the Seminar centred round a most significant and rather neglected field of Science and Technology in Sanskrit. Modern Scientists are not aware of the presence of vast literature in Sanskrit on Science and Technology. The absense of scholarship in Sanskrit held them back from exploring scientific wisdom in the ancient language. The Sanskrit scholars are not competent to study and impart it to the world of scientists. Hence a dialogue between these two groups is very much essential. They should undertake continuous and conscious efforts to explore this major chunk of technical literature in Sanskrit for the welfare and betterment of the mankind. The present volume is a humble attempt in this direction- 27 papers presented in the seminar are included in this book.
