Materialism and Mankind' denotes a step further in man's search for the meaning of life. The modern reductionist or disintegrative science describes man a simple machine of matter and denies him his entity as a conscious being and treats him as commodity for exploitation for economic growth and for the needs of the establishment. Existentialism infuses interest for freedom from exploitation by all agencies including government, religion, traditions, customs for realising one's own identity as self-indulgent, but it brings the frustration of aimlessness of even material acquistions for supremacy against unbearable struggle and tension. 'Material and Mankind' propounds integrative form of science or holistic view of reality and restores man his entity with conscious self of his own by which man perceives phenomenalism, feels pain and pleasure, wants to live and enjoy life, has his aspiration and seeks his fulfilment. It is this conscious reality inherent all beings, that points to the wisdom of co-existence, social equality and peace and absurdity of passion for supremacy. It raises man's status from the object of exploitation to that of one who realises his own fulfilment by making his contribution to the world order, his own source, support and destination and ensures elimination of human agonies and social problems that result from the modern exploitation of mankind. It also asserts that complementarity and interdependence of male and female genders with their offsprings, necessitate the protection of the divine institution of family for human fulfilment.
