The six generation of scholars in the famous Payyur Family, the payyur Bhattas who lived during the 13th and 16th centuries have enriched the Kerala Mimamsa literature by their valuable contributions. In this work Dr.P.M.Vasudevan Nambudiri has made a very sincere attempt to study deeply the Mimamsa contributions of Payyur Bhattas as well as the other writings of them in Sanskrit. The author has made use of both published and unpublished works of Payyur Bhattas. He has given a brief history of Mimamsa Darsana in Kerala the life hisroty of the Bhattas of Payyur. Taking much pains he has struded the darsana and dwelled in deep into the workds like Tattva Vibhavana, Nititattvirbhava Vyakhya, Kasika Vyakhya, Gopalike etc. Literary contributions of Payyur Bhattas are also discussed in detail. The findings of the author in this work deserve special attention.
