These Sanskrit plays, altogether eight in number were written by late Sri.V.Krishnan Tampi to be enacted on the occasion of the Annual Day Celebrations of the Trivandrum Sanskrit College while he was the Principal of that institution. Though he playwright has drawn his themes from epics as well as from the pages of Indian history he could bring to the treatment of such themes some sort of an intellectual and emotional appeal having a perennial quality.
